Vintage Mid Century Brutalist Mexican Art Glass Lamp Felipe Delfinger Feders MCM. Vintage Mid Century Brutalist Mexican Art Glass Lamp Felipe Delfinger Feders. Available is this gorgeous mid century art glass lamp. Designed by Felipe Delfinger for Feders it is a brutalist style. The panels are hand made, with fused metal rings inside.
Colors are gorgeous and slightly metallic, with lots of bubble inclusions. The lamp measures approx 11 inches tall, 12 wide at the widest point and tapers to 10 inches in diameter at the bottom. There is a small rough spot on one panel at the base, and a slightly concave area near the top, both are stable and do not detract from the lamp. The lamp panels have been hand wired together as can be seen from an inside view.
The wires are quite sharp inside and may be a touch rusted although they could be copper, see photos #11&12. The chain and cord appear original and the cord is a hazard and will need to be replaced, untested. The chain measures approx 57 inches long.
The lamp is in good condition, with normal wear and age. It does have several spots of paint? Where it looks like the lamp was not removed when the room was painted. Please review photos # 6&7.
It has had a light wipe down but has not been thoroughly cleaned, which will be needed. An estate item, exact age and history are unknown. No breaks, cracks or other damage.
