Venini Ricardo Licata Murrines Band Murano Lamp Base 3 line etch & lbl

Ricardo Licata for Venini Murano lamp base. This is a lamp base only. It would have had a tall, thin white globe or shade originally.

It is dark blue solid transparent glass with a middle band of murrines that Licata was noted for. There is a brass " cage" around a intermediate size socket which would have held the glass shade.

The bottom is etched with the 3 line etch. " Venini Murano Italia" and a round Venini label. The wiring appears to be original except the plug has been replaced.

It works well but with all vintage electrical items it should be checked by a qualified electrician. Bulb is not included and I believe it would have taken a long style intermediate base bulb. The lamp base measures approximately 6 3/4" to the top of the socket and 4" glass only. The base diameter 4 1/2 and it weighs approx. It is in excellent condition.

I can only find one pinhead size ding in the lower side, otherwise excellent condition. I try to describe each item as best that I can by noting any after factory damage and also note flaws that may exist from manufacturing.
