It picked up different colors in different light and I took photos with an off-white background and then with a black background. I don't see any chips or cracks on the shade.

II also don't see any signatures on the shade. It measures 2 1/4" at the bottom and about 6 3/4" to 6 5/8 across the top depending on where you measure the distance.
