Rare Set of 6 Art Nouveau Powell Whitefriars Glass Tear Drop Lamp Shades BENSON

A scarce set of 6 Art Nouveau hand blown glass tear drop lamp shades, each decorated with a stylised foliate design and with finely cut panels. Circa 1900 in date and believed to be made by James Powell & Sons.

Because they are hand blown there are slight variations in size and height but each measures approx 8 inches high and has a 3.125 inch fitter rim. Two of the shades have chips to the fitter rims (one chip to one and two to the other) while a third shade is heavily chipped around the fitter rim although this is not noticeable with the gallery in place. There are also 3 copper galleries.

The overall condition is excellent and it is rare to find a matching set of 6! These would look superb on a Benson chandelier!
