Rare Pallme Konig Loetz Era Bohemian Art Glass Threaded Iridescent Lamp Shade
Just out of a local house is this Rare Large Bohemian art glass lamp shade. We believe the shade was made by the Pallme Konig glass studio around 1900. The shade has a somewhat opaque cloudy clambroth base glass with blue and yellow threaded glass decoration. The exterior has an iridized surface that highlights and accents the threading making the yellow threading look gold and highlights the blue as well. The shade is large measuring about 13 inches at its widest and almost 5 inches deep.
The top or smaller opening measures 4 1/4 inches. The bottom or larger opening measures, to the outside of the flange, 11 5/8 inches The shade has some chips around the large flange opening and there is very minimal loss to the threading. There are normal irregularities done in the making such as bubbles and rough grinding on the opening rims or edges.
