Handel Lamps were best known for their reverse painted lamps, but also manufactures other things including glassware. Among the glassware they produced were the Teroma items, that were decorated with fired on enamel decorations. Landscape scenes on what was referred to as "chipped ice" glass vases were very popular.

Cameo, or acid cut pieces were not the norm because they required more time, attention to detail and a skillset that most of the Handel artists didn't have. Albert Parlow, who was the head of the decorating department, and one of the original founding members of Handel Lamps, was one of the Handel employees who possessed those qualities. The vase is just under 10 tall.

It is cameo, or acid cut, with stylized flowers, and palms, on an acid frosted ground with citrine yellow raised decoration. The lip is slightly everted, rounded and fire polished as are the flowers and palm fronds. The inside of the glass is also given a treatment of acid wash to create a frosted cascading and chipped ice pattern. He was one of only a handful of Handel artist permitted to sign their full surname on pieces.
