A Rare Tall Art Deco'Nude Fire Dancer' Lamp, with a Period French'Ezan' Satin Glass Shade with Gilt Spelter Crown Finial, cast in cold-painted Spelter, on a Circular Polished Creamy-Marble Base. This period lamp, is cast in cold-painted pearlescant silver and gold to the spelter dancer, with brown hues to the her hair and gilding to the stamped base. This pedestal on which she delicately stands has British Made by Applied Arts and the patent number. One of the few companies in England that designed such risque Odeon style lamps during the Art Deco Period. It depicts a Nude Flapper Girl figure standing on tip-toes creating a striking figure, whilst supporting the bowl shaped gallery for the'Flame Hoop' Satin Glass Shade and emerald glass be-jewelled decoration, above her.

This glass shade is stamped'EZAN', which were contemporaries of Lalique producing glass pieces using the same techniques in France during the 1920-30's. This graceful nude holds aloft the Fire lamp, very Odeon style in her statuesque sculpting. All is in lovely condition, with virtually no loss to the cold-painted finish.

The figure is seperatly cast & screwed firmly to the heavy polished marble circular stand, with the lamp wiring running through the figure to the gallery so as not to distract from her serpentine form. All is raised on three circular bakelite tortoiseshell bun feet. The lamp itself takes a standard-fitting bayonet bulb, which works fine and has at some time been re-wired. But as with all old electrical items, it should be tested and checked by a qualified electrician before prolonged use. All pieces are very well wrapped & packed individually in strong boxes to secure safety in transit, and are sent recorded parcel post.
