L&F Moreau Pair of Vintage Art Nouveau Spelter Lamps, J. The molds for the original lamps were created by two French brothers who went under the name L&F Moreau and hid their designs during WWII, for fear they would be seized by invading Nazis; these molds were forgotten until their discovery in 1948. Hirsch's lighting company recreated their beautiful Art Nouveau designs for his Francaise Collection, which is made in the USA.
They are molded with the artists' signature and mark on the base and side. In great condition with average wear. No lamp shades ever came with them. Figures on base 8 inches.
This pair of vintage L&F Moreau Spelter Lamps is a beautiful addition to any collection. The lamps feature a charming farm hand and maiden design, perfect for adding a touch of rustic elegance to any room. The corded electric power source provides ease of use and flexibility in placement. Crafted from high-quality spelter material, these lamps are built to last and will surely become a cherished piece for years to come. The Art Nouveau style is evident in the intricate details and subtle curves of the design. Add a touch of vintage charm to your home with this lovely pair of lamps.
