Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is wonderful and very complicated leaded glass lamp by Gorham. The shade is exceptionally shaded from white at the top to nearly brown along the lower edge, using pretty much every shade of yellow in the process.
Its really hard to describe how well this was done, and my pictures really don't do it justice. Its just a wonderful design done extremely well. The shade is 17 1/2" in diameter and the lamp stands 21" tall. In terms of condition, I see maybe 2 or 3 tiny hairlines in the glass, but otherwise its in nice shape with no replaced pieces. The leading is EXTEREMLY fine and detailed as one would expect from Gorham. The 2-socket solid bronze base has a nice slender look with a finish that complements the shade quite nicely.
It is all original with its original Hubbell sockets, acorn pulls, cap and finial. It has recently been rewired and comes ready to use and enjoy. Neither the base nor the shade is signed, but is 100% guaranteed to be a period 1905 Gorham lamp. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me.
That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times.
