Up for consideration is a Nice Rare Bigelow Kennard student lamp. First if you know anything about Bigelow Lamps they are super hard to find, Let alone a Student lamp. This lamp has a nice Brass and Bronze weighted base.
The base stands 21 tall with a 10 wide at the center of the shade holders and is 13 wide at the outside edge of the holder to outside edge. The foot is 6 1/4 in Diameter. The base has a nice dark brown patina, The shade holders are solid bronze and has a UNO threaded washer to hold the shades to the holder. The holder also has a top piece that can be screwed up or down to the top of the shade. The shades are not signed but Are Bigelow.
You can go to leaded lamps dot com and see the same shades under Bigelow & Kennard. The shades are 4 -/2 tall and 7 opening. The top has a Hubbell UNO 1 1/4 threaded top marked Hubbell Pat D July 03 1903, Fed 03 1904.
The shades are in good shape. The shades have a great Clam broth back glass know for Bigelow shades with a floral border. The shade condition is pretty good. One shade I dont see any issues maybe one small heat crack the other shade has 8 or 9 heat cracks as shown in the pictures and a missing piece of leading on the bottom edge as shown in the pictures. The lamp has been rewired and has its original nickel plate inline switch and old plug.
Ive taken a lot of pictures which is part of the description. Use your zoom feature to see condition. A great looking Bigelow thats hard to find.
