Beautiful QUEZAL Art Glass KING TUT & ZIPPER Lamp Shade Signed c1902 Tiffany Era

Welcome To The Antique Cabinet. For your consideration is a fabulous QUEZAL'King Tut & Zipper' Decor Art Glass Lamp Shade, circa 1902. Following his arrival to the US, he worked for Louis Comfort Tiffany as a chemist at the newly formed Tiffany Glass & Decorating Company in Corona, Queens. After almost 10 years, Bach left Tiffany to establish his own company (which actually infuriated Louis Tiffany). While in business, Quezals Art Nouveau styled glass was very comparable in quality and beauty to all similar well known glass makers of the period with examples being found in most if not all prominent museums.

The shade has a mushroom style body with a cream colored interior and outer ground. It is beautifully decorated with both a'King Tut & Zipper' iridescent gold design with hints of yellow and pinks hues which give it a very tranquil glow. 3.25 tall by 4.25 at widest, with a 2.25 fitter.

It is properly signed QUEZAL on the inside of fitter rim. The shade is in excellent condition, free of any chips, cracks or repairs with very minimal wear.
