Triangular chunk glass pieces that are placed throughout the shade. This one has a mix of white and red ones with the white ones being the most prominent around the boarder. They really fire when lit and look just like diamonds against the primarily caramel background. This is a very nice example of this lamp and it is in very fine condition.
The shade measures 18 1/2" in diameter and the lamp stands 23 1/2" tall. I see two or three small cracks in the shade, but nothing serious and no replaced pieces.
The base has its original dark greenish finish, P&S labeled socket, and acorn ended pull chain. It is marked with the model number 505 and even has all four of its original felt circular pads. It has just become too difficult and costly to do so effectively. It is actually much better for both of us this way as they will fully guarantee it to get there without damage and if something happens they will 100% stand behind it without any claims hassle. I have worked with this UPS Store over many years and they do a great job with things like this.
You are also more than welcome to come and get it yourself, or if we are close I can meet you somewhere with it. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. If you want to get a cheap lamp, go to WalMart or Ikea. If you are watching this just to watch and see if it sells, that's fine.
