The shade measures 14 1/2 wide and 5 1/2 inches high. This is not a copy made somewhere recently, in a factory overseas, where hot glass was poured into a mold. Look at those beautiful tulips, so popular in the 20s. In my opinion, this fine shade may have originally graced an antique standing lamp, or floor lamp, but could also be used as a hanging lamp, or part of a desk lamp.
I have not been able to locate any cracks in the glass, or damage to the lead work. It is sturdy and solid. Please consider that this is an antique... By its very nature of being old it is not "dead mint" or perfect.
The lamp has been re-electrified, and the socket is not original. If you love antiques, this lamp can bring you the experience of beauty and enjoyment typical of what I believe to be a fine work of art.
