Art Nouveau Brass Bronze Serpent & Lily Pad Table Lamp with Glass Jeweled Shade
Welcome To The Antique Cabinet. A wonderful Art Nouveau Brass/Bronze Jeweled Table Lamp, circa 20. This is a very intriguing and ornate table lamp. The shade, which has rounded yellow glass jewels, is decorated with a snake-skin like design with two long slivering serpent like creatures encircling the shade. The shade is attached to an arched stem decorated with flowers and vines which extends down into a lily pad base. We are unsure of the metal composition though it does not attract to a magnet and has nice green patina highlights. 17" tall by 10" at widest. The lamp is in excellent condition with no mentionable damage other than lite age/use related wear. There are a few tiny holes in the shade within the slits of the design which appear to be in the making. The beading around the shade appears to have been re-strung at some point as the string looks new? Highly recommend, as with all used electrical items, that all the electrical components be inspected by a qualified person before use. A Very Unique and Unusual Art Nouveau Lamp! - - - - -.
