The piece is topped with a skyscraper-esque chrome cap piece which finishes the lamp beautifully. The shade itself is a thick and ribbed uranium glass shade in the much harder to get shade of green.
After years of collecting I can say that these are very very hard to find. I've tested it with a black light so you can see it glow up very brightly in the photo. The highly desirable green colour, uranium glass and classic art deco ribbing makes this an extra special piece. Additional features are the new brown twisted cord cable, and the original brown US bakelite plug. This specimen is a very striking and colourful burst of fresh 1930s neon green and chrome that is sure to be the center of attention. The lamp is in absolutely EXCELLENT condition as seen. The chrome components are all extremly bright. The bakelite rotator switch functions with no issues.
The shade is also in very good condition. No issues at all just the usual small nibbles on the gallery opening ends which are hidden inside it. Approximate size of lamp: Height: 30 cm Base Width : 16 cm. To make sure this happen, I use firm boxes, package stiffeners, foam separators between items, bubble wrap around the item, and paper padding. I recycle packing materials whenever possible.
