Antique Handel / Unique Arts & Crafts Leaded Slag Stained Glass Lamp NR

This is an unusual Handel / Unique leaded glass lamp. It is not unusual that Handel bases are found with Unique shades (as this one is), but what is really unusual is the SIZE of this lamp. It is sort of diminutive with a 14" shade that stands 20" tall. It has a really great look with a bright yellow flower and green leaf apron against a lighter green geometric background. The shade is in very good condition with maybe 3 or 4 small cracks here and there (none in the geometric panels).

The well known Handel base, although not signed, has a wonderful deep brown finish that my pictures really don't show that well (it is much better in person). The base has its original Hubbell sockets, acorn pulls and porcelain interiors and has been wired with period style, brown cloth braided cord and a nice old plug. While some people say that Handel and Unique lamps are marriages, I think these two have been together from the start as they fit so well together.
