We bought the lamp unwired. In early 20th century there were very small bulbs that this lamp could accommodate.

To say the least it was a challenge trying to figure out how to do it! The only socket that worked was a low profile Christmas tree type (see photos).

I also added a marble spacer (see photos). It is in very good to excellent antique estate condition. There are no cracks or breaks in any of the glass but there are light scratches. Please view all photos carefully as they are a part of the item description. It measures approximately 10 inches in diameter for shade, 4 inches wide for polygon base and 13 inches tall.
