Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a very unusual arts & crafts prairie style slag glass table lamp.
Just a wonderful, yet simple, looking lamp. I love the way they put a little bit of blue coloring in the boarder panels while still maintaining the caramel color so that the glass sort of flows from the top into the boarder.....I have no idea who made this one, but its good quality. The shade and base are brass, and there is a heavy cast iron weight in the bottom of the base for stability. The overlay on the shade is brass and the design is that of two repeating country scenes (one with a bridge and one that looks like it goes up to a ranch). The shade is 15" square and the lamp stands about 19" tall. The socket signed HUBBELL and has its original porcelain interior and satellite ended pull chain.
The lamp is wired with period style cloth braided cord and comes ready to use and enjoy. Just think how nice this one would look in a mission or arts & crafts setting! If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me.
That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. If you want to get a cheap lamp, go to WalMart or Ikea.
