Antique Arts and Crafts Bradley And Hubbard Oil Lamp

For sale, I have a rare antique arts and crafts era small oil lamp. This beautiful oil lamp has some repairs. I have been working on antique lamps for 3 years now and have learned a lot. Lamps are a daily part of my life.

With that said, this oil lamp was electrified, and the shade had splits in the frame at the 4 of the 6 corners, and 3 tabs were broken. I replaced the broken tabs and repaired the splits.

I will try to give a brief detal of what was done. The splits were repaired from the inside. After the repairs were made, they were sanded, and the inside was painted, then the glass was reinstalled. It was important to me to preserve the original exterior finish because it was in very good condition, so nothing was done to hide the repairs on the exterior.

It would be very easy to refinish the exterior and completely hide the joints, if desired. The base is original and untouched. The oil font had a hole in the bottom for a cord. The hole was patched with a piece of copper sheet, then painted.

It was tested for leaks. There are plenty of pictures to look at.
