An absolutely divine and exceedingly rare original Diana lamp from the 1930's having a superb stepped base in gleaming chrome surmounting a glossy black lacquered stepped foot a particularly spectacular example for the discerning collector. Standing at 54 cm, the lamp features an extremely well-cast Diana figurine surmounted by a stepped chrome gallery. The exceptionally impressive visual impact of this amazing Diana lamp is even more greatly enhanced by its stunning pale jade green cased glass stepped shade, each of the three tiers delineated at the base with chrome banding.

Recently rewired for your safety with high quality antique-style braided black cord, and the original old brass light bulb socket replaced with a high quality chrome socket, the lamp has a superb Art Deco era 12-sided black bakelite inline switch and still retains its original 1930's black bakelite plug. All over immaculate condition all of the chrome parts are gleaming bright and shiny.

The Diana figurine has only a very few of the usual casting marks typical to all sand-castings of the era, and both the figurine and the stepped chrome part of the base appear to have been re-chromed at some point in time to restore the lamp to its original splendour. The shade is in perfect condition with only some minute nibbles to the rim of the neck, obviously invisible when inserted in the gallery.
