1900 Art Nouveau Piano Lamp With Documented Loetz Iridescent Glass Shade

The base is fresh from a German estate. The Jugendstil base looks beautiful with her iridescent Loetz shade. This particular squashed blossom style shade was only made by Loetz.

Please see the last photo for a different documented Loetz decoration on an identical shaped lamp shade. It has a golden aurine style iridesence on the outside and an unusually beautiful rainbow iridescent finish on the interior. As you can see from the pictures, this lamp is designed and intended to extend over the edge of a piano to illuminate the sheet music.

It would look as beautiful on your fireplace mantle as it would on top of your antique Steinway. The heavily chased brass base is covered with a beautiful secessionist pattern. Gustav Klimt would have been proud to paint by light from this lamp.

The socket is hinged with the original brass screw which makes it adjustable to many different positions. Professionally rewired with new socket and a beautiful, original patina.
