Vintage Art Deco Bronze Metal Male Figures Lighted Glass Ball Machine Age Lamp

Vintage, probably 1930's art deco style lamp- depicting two semi-nude muscular male or men figures moving a large sphere. The lamp is not marked anywhere, so the maker is unknown. Very similar in style as the lamps made by Nuart and Frankart though.

You see many female figures with art deco lamps, but very few males. The lamp works fine and is shown with a small 6 watt bulb- it's the size smaller than a standard night light bulb.

The cord may have been replaced at one time and is in great shape(it's now a generous 10' long). There is a Bakelite cord switch and plug that look original however.

The 5 glass ball shade is a replacement, as well as the bronze or brass chains. I found the lamp without the shade and missing one chain.

The glass shade has a 2" fitter, and I believe the original was more like 1 1/2"- that way the brass spring clip at the base would hold it snug. As it is now, the shade just rests in place. The base is black painted metal, and the men have a brass or bronze finish with black highlights- really nice!

There are some chips in the paint where the old shade sat, but the new one covers that (photo). The casting of the male figures is very good with nice detail, and I don't see any issues with the finish. Size: Base- 11 1/4 " x 3 5/8 ". Base to the top of the men- 7.
