The base has a subtle sky-blue color to the satin-glass, that captures the light beautifully on both the smooth form of the nudes and the contrasting geometric base they stand upon. This base has just a couple of tiny flea bites to the geometric plynth and one small ding to the metal shade attachment which is hidden by the shade gallery. All hardly noticeable as a whole & in remarkable condition for the lamps age with the flame glass shade in perfect condition and has a lovely warm glow when alight.
The fluted urn shaped shade gallery is cast in a gilt metal and has two supporting screws for attaching the glass shade with an on/off switch on the inside. The lamp itself takes a standard fitting bayonet-bulb, which works fine, and has been re-wired at an earlier time. But as with all old electrical items, it should be tested and checked by a qualified electrician before prolonged use. This period Art Deco glass lamp is an impressive 380mm's tall, by 140mm's in diameter, and is quite weighty for it's size.
