Loetz Ausführung 226 Luminare Lamp

Loetz Ausführung 226 Luminare Lamp. This is a wonderful luminare from the 1920s made by the Loetz factory in the Ausführung 226 decor.

The lamp base has the Loetz mark Czecho-Solvakia in an oval on the bottom. (See Photos) This lamp comes with its original metal base, but I believe the switch may have been replaced.

Another lamp, with the same base, is also shown on the David Littlefield Loetz & Bohemian Glass web site under the Ausführungen section. The lower half of the lamp is an iridescent blue spotting on black. It is a little over 11" in height and the metal base is 6" in diameter. I have only seen a handful of these lamps over the years and they have always been the same shape with an identical metal base.

This is NOT a vase with a drilled hole; it is solely intended to be a lamp base as it has a smooth perfectly formed hole through the center of it and a concave base with no bottom.
