Chicago mosaic leaded lamp antique stained glass arts and crafts slag glass

Up for your consideration is an antique leaded glass lamp attributed to the Chicago Mosaic shade company. The pattern is that of stylized flowers with and leaves with a caramel background.

The lamp shows nicely due to the textured glass. This lamp base measures almost 24 inches tall and is 8 inches at the foot.

The shade is about 18 inches in diameter and 8 inches deep. Both sockets are replacements and it has been rewired with conventional vinyl cord.

The base has wear that is commemsurate with its age but is in good working condition. I had to replace the finial so it is not period.

I believe this shade was is a converted hanging fixture due to its 6 inch shade rest and fitter. There are a few tight heat cracks that do not detract from the shades beauty and with a shade of its age it is to be expected. The shade displays well and is a nice example of an arts and crafts period lamp.

Please look at the pictures I have included. Aside from the heat cracks I described all of the solder/copper foil is tight and correct. The lamp is over 100 years old so it is in good shape for its age.
