The base measures 22 and ½ inches tall and the shade is 18 inches wide. The base in very solid and nice condition with a 4 socket cluster and satellite pulls all in working order.

The base recently rewired with period cloth style cord and in original patina. Again the base in very strong form and without breaks or cracks. No segments of glass missing and all the leading tight and right throughout. This is a very well made shade and base. I see maybe 3-4 tight age cracks here or there certainly nothing to be alarmed about by any means and as to be expected for a 100 year old lamp.

Certainly way above average when dealing with a shade of this many pieces. The leaded in shade cap a little goofy of sorts with some very minor indentations and certainly pretty meaningless as well but I mention them for clarity sake and the super duper picky buyers that sometimes make mountains out of molehills. This area also covered by the finial so another non issue but I have to mention it. Recently I have been putting different lighting on with reserves and no reserves.

We may be able to hand deliver this item ourselves. What that means is this. If you live in the following radius or just outside it, we should communicate about not using a major carrier, so it has a better chance of survival and minimizing damage or a damage claim as well.

Please Check out my other items! Some great Bradley Hubbard, Tiffany, Handel, etc. Chances are if there aren't any, it's a newer item and you shouldn't want it anyways. In other words, a minor blemish on some metalwork belonging to a large shade or a 1/16 by 1/16 of a paint flake missing, please try and be reasonable.

I always describe the important aspects towards condition reports and sometimes my eye misses what I deem immaterial issues such as the aforementioned sentence. There are a few things in life we cant do without.

Food, water, fire, oxygen, the sun, shelter etc. So when it comes to shelter and necessary light for it, thats where I come in. I believe in living simply and within my means but surrounded by items of great quality. Of and the wasteful utilities that go along with that.

So why is it people go out and spend. Not to mention you got the same usage for that entire time period? This makes infinitely more financial sense than the other choice, plus you have a conversation piece in the room and something to be proud of. Also you have more cultural feeling invested in something 100 years old knowing that it can never be duplicated by modern making techniques and knowing there a few, if any, like it left for this world and now its yours.

You display it and care for it. So again thats where I come in. Great period lighting when electricity was still in its infancy.

When makers like Bradley and Hubbard, Handel, Tiffany studios, Pairpoint, and others cared about quality, appearance, and function. When makers were trying to outdo one another with this new business boom of electric lighting. When we went from whale and kerosene oil lamps and gas, to electric. This is when the best lamps in the world were manufactured and the ones I want to light my home with when its dark. I cant control the sun or the amount of light it provides or when it comes up or goes down, and whether its cloudy or not, but I can control the light in my home when its dark.

And like I said earlier, I want nice rugs, paintings, pottery, furniture, etc. And I want to see those items lit by great lighting. Its what makes a home more outstanding and livable because without it you see absolutely nothing.

A quality lamp makes or breaks a room. You can have the best rugs, furniture, paintings, and accessories in the world, but without great lamps or lighting nobody will ever see it.
