This is a great lamp folks and its a large one with the base measuring in at 24 and ½ inches tall with the shade being 21.5 inches wide. The base very unique and interesting in that it has this hand hammered finish and with great original patina which are both in excellent condition. This is not a copper lamp base as this base is very very solid and quite heavy and well made.

Its all original and in fine working order and great condition. Its been recently rewired with proper period style cloth cord and It needs no excuses as to damage. No other makers did work like this period. As for the shade, thats also in great original condition. No broken or cracked or chipped glass, and no missing overlay. The patina on the overlay also original and in good condition. A few specks missing here or there but as to be expected for a lamp 100 years old and I would like to call those character marks.

Again not too many that it hurts the overall appearance of the shade but they are present, please see photos. No metalware damage or breaks, as is the case with b and h lamp as they always overbuilt their items anyway.

Please Check out my other items! Some great Bradley Hubbard, Tiffany, Handel, etc. Chances are if there aren't any, it's a newer item and you shouldn't want it anyways. In other words, a minor blemish on some metalwork belonging to a large shade or a 1/16 by 1/16 of a paint flake missing, please try and be reasonable.

I always describe the important aspects towards condition reports and sometimes my eye misses what I deem immaterial issues such as the aforementioned sentence. There are a few things in life we cant do without.

Food, water, fire, oxygen, the sun, shelter etc. So when it comes to shelter and necessary light for it, thats where I come in.

I believe in living simply and within my means but surrounded by items of great quality. Of and the wasteful utilities that go along with that. So why is it people go out and spend. Not to mention you got the same usage for that entire time period? This makes infinitely more financial sense than the other choice, plus you have a conversation piece in the room and something to be proud of. Also you have more cultural feeling invested in something 100 years old knowing that it can never be duplicated by modern making techniques and knowing there a few, if any, like it left for this world and now its yours. You display it and care for it. So again thats where I come in. Great period lighting when electricity was still in its infancy. When makers like Bradley and Hubbard, Handel, Tiffany studios, Pairpoint, and others cared about quality, appearance, and function. When makers were trying to outdo one another with this new business boom of electric lighting. When we went from whale and kerosene oil lamps and gas, to electric. This is when the best lamps in the world were manufactured and the ones I want to light my home with when its dark. I cant control the sun or the amount of light it provides or when it comes up or goes down, and whether its cloudy or not, but I can control the light in my home when its dark.

And like I said earlier, I want nice rugs, paintings, pottery, furniture, etc. And I want to see those items lit by great lighting. Its what makes a home more outstanding and livable because without it you see absolutely nothing.

A quality lamp makes or breaks a room. You can have the best rugs, furniture, paintings, and accessories in the world, but without great lamps or lighting nobody will ever see it.
