Art Deco 1920's J. B. Hirsch Gerdago Pixie Lady Lamp W Glass Crystal Ball Vintage
Original and rare Art Deco 1920's modernistic J. Hirsch Gerdago style pixie lady with celluloid/porcelain face, lamp on a marble base with glass bubble crystal lighted ball.
This fabulous art deco lady is cast is a modernistic style outfit with a pointed hat, she has a celluloid/porcelain face. As the pictures show this art deco lady is reading a book, and she has one hand up shielding the light from her eyes. She is sitting on a marble or alabaster base, with a geometric designed pedestal standing in front of her that holds a glass bubble ball which is the shade (inside is a standard small bulb and socket that projects a wonderful light through the glass orb). The overall measurement is about 10" long, 4-1/4" wide, and 7-1/2 tall.
The art deco lady and pedestal are made of some kind of cast pot metal with an original patina finish. The bubble ball shade is made of crystal clear glass with tiny bubbles. The condition of this piece is good considering. There is some wear on the marble base and the screws that hold them on the base are rusty.
