Antique Mephistopheles Art Deco Table Lamp w/ Leaded Green Slag Glass Shade. From estate storage an antique art deco cast metal figural table lamp featuring the likeness of Mephistopheles, the famed demon of German folklore. The lamp has a dark bronze-like surface and is mounted with a leaded green slag glass shade. Size: 19" high (top of finial); 9 1/2" high (top of figure) Unmarked; maker / origin unknown.

The lamp is in very good pre-owned condition as shown. There is an old repair to the feather in his hat as well as to splits in the base noted. The harp mount for the shade including the shade itself may not be original to the lamp and are precariously delicate but do appear to be of the correct time period.
