This is a very rare puffy Pairpoint lamp with a Chrysanthemum flower glass reverse painted shade for sale. The base is quadruple plated silver and is signed in the Pairpoint logo. It is definitely in the Art Nouveau period with the swirling patterns throughout. The puffy multicolored glass shade is unsigned but is very early and is either a Pairpoint or possibly from the Consolidated company. It is overall in very good condition. There are no cracks or lines. There is one small area of paint loss though on the inside, near the top.
When the lamp is lit this is very difficult to see due to the fact it is under the curved top, please see the photos. The base is perfect without any pitting, etc.
This lamp works beautifully and has been professionally rewired with a rayon cord typical for its era. There is also a small original round Bakelite cord holder on the base. The lamp is 19 tall and the shade ring is 10 in diameter. The chrysanthemum glass shade pattern, the lovely silver plated base and the Pairpoint insignia make this Art Nouveau piece a truly unusual and wonderful find. Plus its an excellent investment piece.Lamps of this quality are difficult to find and some of the most sought after in todays antiques market. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
